Happy Monday! Today, I’m switching it up by sharing one of my go-to appetizers. With holiday gatherings in full swing, this is the perfect hors d’oeuvre to bring to any party. The best part is, it takes only 20 minutes to prep and bake!
I’m no culinary expert but I do know melted cheese + jam + crackers = happiness. It’s just basic math. That’s exactly why I reach for this apricot baked brie recipe from the Trader Joe’s cookbook when I’m looking for a fail-proof, crowd-pleasing app. It’s soft, sweet, and savory — what’s not to love?!
1 wheel (8oz) brie
2 tablespoons apricot preserves
choice of crackers
dried cranberries (optional)
brie baking dish or any dish with edges (it spreads as it bakes)
Pre-heat oven to 400 degrees. While the oven heats, place the brie into your baking dish. Spread two heaping tablespoons of apricot preserves on top. Add a handful of sliced almonds, cover with tinfoil and bake for 12-15 minutes.
Remove from the oven and sprinkle with dried cranberries for a tart and colorful holiday twist. Serve right away for maximum gooeyness! Enjoy!
