This past weekend finally felt like fall was in full swing in San Francisco. The sun was shining yet the temps stayed in the low 60’s. While it lasted all but two days (today’s going to be 85?!) the chill in the air was enough for me to pull out a few outerwear pieces I’ve been looking forward to wearing this season. One of those pieces was this oversized sweater coat from Bernardo Fashions! From chic casual wear (seen here and here) to timeless top coats (here) – Bernardo is a brand that truly does it all.
It was the textured, tweed-like wool of this sweater coat that caught my eye. Okay, maybe it was the fact that “sweater” was in its name (hello, cozy), but the texture was definitely the other reason. This time of year, mixing fabrics is an easy way to add an elevated touch to your outfits. Textured fabrics, soft knits, and sleek silks — all better paired together if you ask me. I love how effortless the sweater coat looks paired with these satin, wide leg satin trousers and black turtleneck. I’ve also layered it over a white blouse, jeans, and OTK boots for a more casual look.
Thank you Bernardo Fashions for sponsoring this post.
