There’s so much going on in this buzzing city on a daily basis. If you’re not at your 9 to 5 then you’re likely en route to the nearest networking event, happy hour, or fitness studio. Don’t get me wrong, that energy, the head-down hustle mentality, is what attracts me to San Francisco. But when the work week winds down, I try to do the same.
One of my favorite ways to unwind is simply by taking a long, leisurely stroll through the neighborhood — Union Street in particular. There’s always a new boutique to browse, a familiar face greeting you “hello”. Having lived in the same neighborhood (the same apartment for that matter) for almost 7 years, you’d think I’d grow tired of the same old shops and scenery — but it’s quite the contrary.
I love nothing more than waking up on a weekend morning and grabbing breakfast, brunch, or cup of coffee at one of our tried and true neighborhood cafes. Rose’s Cafe is always at the top of our list when it comes to quaint breakfast spots nearby. Blue bistro chairs, twinkling hedges, and a delicious brunch menu — Rose’s is just too cute (and delicious) to pass up! And let’s be honest, when you’re brunching for hours on end, you have to be dressed somewhat casual — but 100% comfortable. Which is exactly why I love this pair of high rise cropped jeans and this similar pair from Marks & Spencer. They’re soft yet structured and have stretch while still providing support (which we all know is so important when overindulging ;)). Not to mention, they have so many washes to choose from!
I also love this cuffed cut which come in a more relaxed fit, perfect for weekend wear and doing my favorite kind of errands – floral runs! Conveniently enough for me, just next store to Rose’s you’ll find The Bud Stop and the freshest blooms in town. I seriously get so much joy just walking by this stand – the smell alone always stops me in my tracks. Grabbing a fresh bouquet of flowers on the weekend has become tradition, one that continues to brighten my day, all work week long!
How do you unwind from the week? I’d love to hear! Also, if you’re looking to order from Marks & Spencer, the shipping was so fast. Express shipping is free for orders more than $50, all the way from London no less! Tag both myself and Marks & Spencer on Instagram with the hashtag #spenditwell so we can see your look!
